This is a great one to have in the shop and grows so widely in the UK, the more you learn about it, the easier it is to go forage and harvest some for yourself. Its a must have in the health cupboard.

How To Use It

One teasppon steeped in hot water and left to brew for 10 – 15 minutes.

Can also be used as a warm compress on problem areas.

Herbs can be composted after use.

Health Benefits

Mugwort is known to stop nightmares and a great herb for aiding sleep and warding off evil spirits.

Romans used to put in their sandles before marching to stop fatigue.

Can be used externally and internally for:

– rashes, itches, eczema

– Arthritis

– Vomitting, nausea, headches and travel sickness

– To promote digestion, low appetite, colic, indigestion, diarrheaa, constipation, stomach acidity

– natural insect repellent

– Good for nervous system, so can be useful with epilepsy, ticks and with anxiety/stress

The herb can be used to bring on menstration if running later and was used in the past to induce abortions.
