Dandelion root, (Taraxacum officinale), organic

Taraxacum is a large genus of flowering plants in the Asteraceae family, comprising many species commonly known as Dandelions. Commonly considered a weed in the UK but so very far from the truth, Dandelion is one of the first plants herbalists turn to in times of need.

How To Use It

There are many ways to prepare Dandelion roots. You make make hot and cold infusions.

Preapre two tea spoons of the root:

Pour water at 95 degrees over it and cover and leave to brew some at least 10 minutes

How To Dispose Of It

Can be composted if not eaten.

Dandelion roots are mostly used for both herbal infusions by herbal practitioners, where they play an important role. Dandelion root tends to be the default herb to turn to in a time of doubt.
